We have the ability to receive a grant from the Office of Drug Control for an after prom party. In order to receive these funds (and offer an after prom party) we are hosting a guest speaker at our next PTSA General Membership Meeting on Feb 25th 7pm. The presentation will be "Tackling Youth Challenges" that is aimed at educating parents about the mental health issues facing youth, facts about drugs, and information on internet and phone safety. I can personally attest to the difficulty in navigating/finding resources when you have a child with mental health issues.
