Picture of Academy of Finance Students in Ohio at Competition

The students pictured above (left to right) Kristianos Mulder-Stoupakis (c/o 2024), Candace Cole (c/o 2023), Joseph Abdulai (c/o 2023) and Temiloluwa Adediji  (c/o 2023) represented Edgewood High School’s team for the National Personal Finance Challenge (Sponsored by Voya Financial) both as Harford County Public Schools District Winners and as a representative for The State of Maryland.

The National Personal Finance Challenge was hosted in Cleveland, Ohio this year and consisted of the 32 top teams in the country  from all the various states across the country vying for the National Personal Finance Competition Championship Title and some cash prizes.

This team also was the Edgewood High School representative at the Harford County Personal Finance Challenge - Sponsored By APG Federal Credit Union,  with the judges for the competition being from The Harford County Government Office of The Auditor, Point Breeze Credit Union, and the accounting firm CLA (Clifton Larson and Allen). Where they won the county competition.

Mr. Gabriel Martinez served as the coach for the team.
